Membership Application
The Minnesota State Auctioneers Association is an organization of licensed auctioneers. With the support of its membership, the association works
to promote the auction profession.The association is governed by an elected yearly president, vice-president, secretary-treasurer and nine board
members, who form a revolving three on and three off system with three-year terms. There is also an advisory committee consisting of all past
officers and directors. Anyone with an up-to-date membership has voting privileges at the annual business meeting. Any auctioneer with a current
license is welcome to join. New applicants become members by submitting a completed membership form with proper payment. Membership is from January
1 to December 31. Members who join after July 1 will receive membership for the remainder of the current year and the entire following year.
As membership increases - so does the association's influence.Working together members have more strength to support or stop legislation pertaining
to the profession at the state level. The association strives to insure the proper ethical conduct of its members. Educational seminars are given at
the state conventions. Association membership increases friendships and business contacts. All members receive the association publication, "The
Minnesota Auctioneer", with news and articles from around the state. The association promotes - through educational seminars, discussions and fellowship
at the convention and in "The Minnesota Auctioneer" - the sharing among members of the latest developments, ideas and information concerning the auction
profession. Membership allows the right to use the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association logo in advertising. Members also receive an updated list
of all member auctioneers.
All members are expected to act in a professional manner and conduct an ethical business. Members must pledge to be faithful to all buyers and sellers.
Members are also expected to show loyalty to the organization by actively participating in state activities and events. Promote yourself and your profession
by becoming an active member in this association. Membership dues are $50.00 per year for current active members and $40.00 per year for new members.
Honorary membership for nonactive auctioneers over the age of 65 is available for $30.00 per year. Send your application and payment to: Frank Imholte,
